Tour drivers were all careful, guides were knowledgeable and ensured we had the best experience. Itinerary was well balanced mix of walks, sightseeing and free time. The other members of our group were fun to be with and we had a good time together. We thoroughly enjoyed each days experiences. Our meal at Redcliff cafe was superb. Overall, a fabulous trip.

Good communicating on morning of departure. Touring attractions were beyond expectations. We all enjoyed having a different tour guide for each activity. This brought a fresh approach to each day.

It fulfilled my bucket list, while I have been to the South many times before it was different doing it by bus and not having to drive.

I have just returned from the central Plateau tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. I appreciate the planning and organisation entailed in that trip. Julie Knight was a fantastic tour leader and an exceptionally goof driver. She engendered a great friendliness among our group with much fun and laughter! Also I want to thank Steve and Dave who chauffeured my friend and I from Auckland Hamilton and return. It was the icing on the cake. Hope to be able to join another trip soon

Thank you for the experience, well organised and run. Ken Miller ran a great show. and everything went off like clockwork( I know we don’t mention clocks on Great Barrier). Our hosts at the Sunset Waterfront Lodge turned on great service in welcoming and comfortable accommodation. Leigh was a most informative guide and competent driver.. Willie as skipper of Sundancer gave us a great insight in many hidden features of the Island. Over-all a pleasant and informative experience.

I would like to convey my thanks to the whole team at Leisure Time for the wonderful trip to Great Barrier Island this weekend. The arrangements, organisation and the people involved were absolutely fantastic. I travelled with a disability and received great assistance at all times. Ken our travel guide was superb. We’d like you to know how much we enjoyed the recent walking trip to the South Island. The trip was brilliant. It was very organised and the walks very well selected, taking us into geographically interesting and spectacular country. Ken Miller was a gem. His detailed knowledge about the places we passed through meant we learned a huge amount. He was a congenial companion and looked after us very well. He is a real asset to the company – and a top class driver.

It was great! Jenny a number of laughs, weather was absolutely perfect , accommodation was good, but what we came to expect was showers over baths – more common down there than in the north but one managed, and got better as time went on getting out of bath. Our driver Ian (replacement) was extremely informative in his narrations and very knowledgeable- I enjoyed him and he assisted me every single time getting off the last step with my replacement knee. The replaced bus was the ideal size for 17 people allowing to have a single seat on one’s own or sharing – that went on more so in the first four seats on both sides.

The trip was great thanks. A really good variety and number of experiences without being too exhausting. We were also fortunate that we got to enjoy Fiordland without vast numbers of tourists. Our fellow travellers were also a good bunch and we’ve made some new friends.

We had the best journey, great experience, heaps of fun, laughs, such a great time. Clem was a great guide, sharing history of different areas throughout our journey, places to go and visit which we did and loved. So many beautiful spots, but not enough time to see everything which means we will be planning another journey. Wayne our driver to and from Auckland airport was a great comedian, and very helpful. The only negative was it wasn’t long enough, meaning our next holiday will have to be longer 😃.

We arrived at the perfect time with the perfect amount of expert commentary. John is an excellent and safe considerate driver who treated all my clients like VIP’s. All the people in our group have travelled all over the world and experienced the services of coaches over many countries and commented on John’s presentation and local knowledge, which was superb, and his care and consideration on everything he did to make it all easy for me and all my group.

Many thanks for the great organizing you did with the bus. It was an absolutely awesome tour in a wonderful big, comfy bus with a great driver. Clem was a very safe, competent driver who provided a wonderful informative commentary. We felt really fortunate to have him as our driver as he really added to the depth of the trip. Plus he was a nice man who was one of us while still maintaining his professional standards. Many thanks again for your part in arranging this wonderful trip. I would certainly recommend your company to others.

I just wanted to say how much Peter and I enjoyed our trip with you and Les. We had a great time with a most congenial group of fellow travellers and leaders. The organisation was flawless and we saw and heard about so much more than we could have on our own. Even the odd blip – rain at a crucial time and covid –  did nothing to detract from our enjoyment as you and Les seamlessly, for us, arranged alternatives. Les seemed to know the story behind almost every building and blade of grass. He imparted so much information as he drove along and wanting to learn as much as possible about the towns and countryside his commentary was much appreciated.
