Warbirds Over Wanaka
Warbirds Over Wanaka is unlike any other aviation event – the mountain scenery and amphitheatre provide a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of action over Easter weekend. During the show, you will see over 80 aircraft including warbirds, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays and much more! One of the top four Warbird Airshows in the world, the airshow showcases a stunning array of WWII aircraft alongside some exciting modern jets. You will be so close to the aircraft you feel as though you could touch them. See a static display of aircraft for sale and warhorse military vehicles, vintage machinery, tractors and cars and a special display of sports craft.

Day 1 Friday 10 April 2020 |HOME CITIES – QUEENSTOWN (D)
Departing from Auckland you fly to Queenstown. Orientation tour of Queenstown upon arrival then transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day at leisure to relax or stroll around Queenstown. Dinner tonight is included at your hotel.

Day 2 Saturday 11 April 2020 | WARBIRDS OVER WANAKA AIRSHOW (B)
Today you take the journey across to Wanaka for your tour highlight – the Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow. This event held biennially is the largest warbird airshow in the Southern Hemisphere and showcases some of the world’s best examples of WWII flying aircraft in action. A General admission pass to the airshow included today. At the conclusion of the day’s events, retrace your journey back to Queenstown. Tonight is at leisure for you to sample some of Queenstown’s excellent restaurants, cafés and bars.
Day 3 Sunday 12 April 2020 | WARBIRDS OVER WANAKA AIRSHOW (B)
Again you take the journey back to Wanaka for the Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow. A General admission pass to the airshow included today. At the conclusion of the day’s events, you retrace your journey back to Queenstown.
Day 4 Monday 13 April 2020 | QUEENSTOWN (B)
Day at leisure to explore Queenstown.There is a wide choice of optional tours and activities in this marvellous alpine resort such as lake cruises; jet boating; 4WD excursion to Lord of the Rings filming locations; winery tours; river rafting; horse riding or if you dare – bungy jumping (extra cost for optional activities). This evening perhaps as an option you may wish to take a cruise across Lake Wakatipu on the steamer TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station to dine at the Colonel’s Homestead.
Day 5 Tuesday 14 April 2020 | QUEENSTOWN – HOME CITIES
Following breakfast, you are transferred to Queenstown Airport back to meet your domestic flight back to Auckland (other ports on application).
