New Zealand Railway Adventure
New Zealand offers many superb train journeys, many of which we will include on this rail adventure. Traverse through the central North Island onboard the Northern Explorer; journey on the world-renowned Tranz Alpine from Christchurch through the majestic Southern Alps to Greymouth on the West Coast. We also make stops at small private railways, perfect for all train enthusiasts.
Circumnavigate the Southern Alps, crossing at the head via Arthurs Pass, travelling the rugged West Coast and through the southern fiords. On the journey back north we travel through the Mackenzie Basin to the base of the majestic Mt Cook and back onto Canterbury Plains and then Christchurch City.
New Zealand Garden Extravaganza
Take in the stunning beauty of New Zealand with a garden tour of New Zealand’s parks, gardens and reserves. Spend time with gardeners passionate about their craft and learn about their garden design, motivations and plant choice as they introduce you to their private property. New Zealand has a treasure trove of beautiful gardens of national and regional significance – both public and private. This tour includes two well-known gardening events; the Taranaki Garden Festival, and the Garden Marlborough Festival.
Wonderous Walks of New Zealand
New Zealand has an extensive network of walking trails for all abilities and is a real treat for lovers of the great outdoors. There are a huge variety of walking opportunities, from more relaxed gentle strolls to challenging day walks through sub-tropical bush or energetic treks into alpine environments. This 15 day tour includes walks in both the North and South Island and offers options for those who don’t wish to walk or may want to rest up.
Christmas & New Year Tour
Come celebrate Christmas with us down South! Starting in Queenstown we enjoy a delicious Christmas Lunch with a spectacular view of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains. After spending a few days in Queenstown we travel to Twizel and across the Mackenzie Country to Christchurch. Here we will spend the remainder of our tour exploring the various areas of the Canterbury region including Hanmer Springs, Akaroa, Ashburton and a ride onboard the Tranz Alpine train. There will also be plenty of time to explore Christchurch.
Art Deco Festival
The largest of all Art Deco events in Napier is the Tremains Art Deco Festival in February. It includes over 250 events, hundreds of the 1920s and 30s cars, aerobatic flying displays, railcar rides, great Gatsby picnics, dinner dance extravaganzas and free outdoor concerts to name a few. Many thousands of guests and locals alike dressed in Deco style bringing glamour to the city streets.
New Zealand’s Hidden Treasures
Enjoy this two week tour to explore some of New Zealand’s hidden treasures. From the spectacular coastlines of the Northland beaches to the historical sites of Kerikeri. We travel around the Coromandel Peninsula, one of New Zealand’s best kept secrets. It is an area of beautiful golden sand beaches and magnificent native forests. We conclude our trip of the North Island visiting Rotorua, known for bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers and natural hot springs.
